It’s my birthday today so I deserve a blog post for myself.
Since I started primary school, I never had any celebration with classmates on the day itself because it was always a holiday (Malaysia’s Independence Day).
Anyway, not sure about you, Birthday has gradually become like just another day as I grow.
Just to do a slight reflection about my own life, overall, so far, my life is very blessed.
I have a diligent and responsible father who worked hard, saved hard so I could go to school with pocket money, had new uniforms, used new textbooks and able to buy lots of books and stationery.
I have a strict mother who was fierce enough to make sure that I did my homework and didn’t go delinquent. She was always there for me; send my left-at-home assignment ASAP to school when I called (omg, those pay-phone era), sent me to school, fetched me from school on-time, etc…
I have an irritating younger brother but he has grown to be a man I can rely on, partially (fetch me home from places to places).
I have a cute cat.
I have fun colleagues who make work-life a little less boring.
In term of photography, I am at a place where I can roam randomly without worrying too much about danger (robbery). Also, at a place where film is still quite vastly used.
One of the important things in life is to never stop learning. The feeling of stagnation is not good. Sometimes, we might have self-doubt. But just know that, the Earth is huge, we are just the tiny dots. We might or might not make a difference to the world but we can definitely make a difference to ourselves.
For example, the level of effort we choose to put in for something, the food we eat, the sensitive words we choose to say. All made a difference to own individual as to how much reward we would receive, how healthy we would be and how much hurt we would inflict onto others.
No one is perfect. I was once told by the wise that if I continue to strive for harsh perfection, I would suffer.
Oh, my reflection became a rambling. Anyway, thanks for reading till here.
