My style of travel is often free and easy, because I don’t like to rush from places to places just to tick all the list.
As I have been to Hong Kong several times, I don’t visit any touristy places such as the Big Buddha, Victoria Peak, etc. I just want to enjoy the photography process as if I am a local.
After a lazy morning and breakfast, we set off to Causeway Bay for a cup of coffee. Then I started shooting with my mini Rollei B35. After a day of it, I must say I love the small compact size of Rollei 35! It makes attaching action camera for POV just a little more hassle haha. With the pre-adjusted focal distance, my speed of capturing street snap has significantly increased.
Sham Shui Po
We roamed around Sham Shui Po for street photography. This place is my favourite place for street photography because it portrays the true essence of Hong Kong vibe. No one here actually cares about me snapping pictures. No one gives nasty comment unlike in Causeway Bay.
After a roll of film, I developed it at Sunrise Professional Photofinishing at Sham Shui Po. The turnaround time is one hour. I will write about it in another post. During the wait, we roamed around the area and shoot more, using my X-pro2. I am starting to get used to it 🙂
After collecting my developed film, we went off to eat and shop around Tsim Sha Shui and Mongkok before going home for dinner.
Such a relaxing and fulfilling day 🙂
