Recently, I am addicted to playing around video-shooting and editing.
I was first introduced to the concept of Point-of-View video in November 2016 while browsing around YouTube. I was particularly inspired by Pablo Strong the YouTuber, where he film himself talking (vlog) before going out to shoot with his Fuji X-100T or film cameras. I decided to give it a try. Thankfully, I already had an action camera so I just needed to get a horse shoe mount.
There it goes. My first POV video for film photography on Nikon FM2 was out, link here. Frankly speaking, it was quite a burden attaching another chunk of weight onto the already heavy Nikon FM2. Furthermore, I was new to video-shooting so my first video definitely looks like shit. Luckily, I got a friend who specialises in video making so he was kind enough to offer advice.
Next, with his advice, I decided to improvise and do another videos while traveling in Hong Kong! I have a partner with me so she helped film me walking and ‘behind-the-scene’.
Now, I shall proudly present my second photologue video here! Check it out!
Though not perfect, I do for the fun of it because it is really damn fun! Now, instead of showing my mum tonnes of photos, she just has to watch this 5 minutes clip and she would know what I have been up to in Hong Kong.
My third video this time round about film photography will be out soon 🙂
