I have been neglecting this hobby for a long time! Few days ago, out of the blue, I just decided to bring one film that has been hiding in my drawer for months to Triple D in Bugis.
I have also lost touch with the film photography world. In the past, I used to follow the latest news, latest trend, which films are eliminated, which films/camera are sold where and the price, etc. Now, I just cannot be bothered.
Anyway, I paid SGD16 for this roll of 120mm Kodak Portra 400 to be developed and scanned. I am very happy that instead of receiving a CD, they send the photos to Google Drive. So that I don’t have to loiter around Bugis because I couldn’t wait to receive the CD on the same day, haha!

I am only posting the top 4 photos I like from the 12 shots I got.
Looking at the last photo (Triangle pose), the legs were unfortunately chopped off by the frame. It has actually happened a few times with my Hasselblad 500CM. Sometimes I wonder if it was due to my eyesight problem or I need to send the camera for CLA… Because when I was shooting this shot, I definitely didn’t want to cut off the legs. So either there’s some mechanistic problem with the camera or human error. I will need to pay more attention to this.
I really like Hasselblad 500CM. It’s made for portrait photography.
For the longest time, I want to sell my film cameras, but I just couldn’t leave them. I love them all- Leica M6, Nikon FM2, Rolleiflex, Hasselblad 500CM, Olympus mju ii and Rollei B35. Those that I don’t like, I already sold them on Carousell.
Shooting this Yoga series was tough because the weather was so hot. We went to the semi-forest area around Buona Vista MRT where the old British colonial houses are. My mosquitoes repellent didn’t work. So I got bitten very badly. I couldn’t enjoy and we wrapped up the session very shortly. Urgh!
